About Kendra
If you’ve ever found yourself piecing together a spiritual life from whatever felt true in the moment (practices that promised peace, guidance that seemed to work, words that sounded right even if you weren’t sure where they came from), you’ll understand where Kendra started.
She didn’t arrive at this work through theory. She arrived through experience. Before becoming a cultural apologist helping people see clearly, Kendra spent years immersed in the world she now helps others evaluate. She trained in Reiki (Levels 1–3), Spiritual Clearings, Channeling, Past Life Regression, and Shamanic Healing, pursuing certifications and studying to become a practitioner. She wasn’t casually curious. She was committed.
As a tarot reader and astrologer, she built an audience of over 4,000 people who came to her looking for guidance. She believed she was helping them. In some ways, she understood what they were looking for better than most. But she couldn’t give them what they actually needed.
The practices felt empowering. They felt spiritual. They borrowed language like “light” and “energy” and “healing,” and because they sounded true, she didn’t notice what was quietly shifting underneath… a dependence on tools, rituals, and signs slowly replacing any real dependence on Christ.
Then came a moment she couldn’t ignore. God made it clear: she wasn’t seeking Him. She was seeking control. That realization broke something open. Kendra publicly walked away from every practice she had embraced and surrendered fully to Jesus Christ. Not partially. Not with reservations. Fully.
That turning point didn’t just change what she believed. It reshaped how she understood truth, clarity, and what it actually means to follow Jesus in a culture overflowing with “spirituality” but starving for something real.
Today, Kendra brings something most voices in this space don’t have: the view from inside and the grounding of Scripture.
She is currently pursuing theological studies, learning from respected pastors and scholars in biblical studies, theology, and church history. She draws on a library of thousands of trusted resources (commentaries, historical works, and writings from across the Christian tradition) to ensure that what she offers is biblically grounded and trustworthy.
Beyond her theological studies, Kendra has spent two years conducting original research on “spiritual but not religious” communities. Analyzing nearly 400 surveys with over 24,000 responses and studying patterns across online spiritual spaces. That research has shaped frameworks for understanding why people build their own spiritual paths, what happens when those paths stop working, and what it looks like to find the way back. She doesn’t just share her story, she’s mapped the territory.
But her research isn’t what makes her relatable. Her story is. She evaluates spiritual trends not just through study but through the lens of someone who lived them, believed them, studied them, and was set free from them. That combination allows her to meet seekers, weary Christians, and those still sorting out what they believe with both honesty and compassion.
Through Athority Ministries, Kendra helps seekers make sense of the questions that don’t have easy answers, and helps parents, pastors, and church leaders understand what’s happening in a spiritual landscape that often leaves them bewildered:
- What does the Bible actually say about tarot, astrology, and practices like these?
- Is energy healing compatible with following Jesus?
- How do I know if the “signs” I’m following are leading me toward God or somewhere else?
- Why are young people drawn to these practices and how do we reach them?
Her mission is to help people move from confusion to clarity. To think biblically, live faithfully, and build a relationship with God that’s rooted in something that actually holds.
Kendra is currently working on her first book, exploring how digital environments shape us spiritually and what it means to offer something more solid.
If you’re asking hard questions about faith and spirituality, Kendra is a trusted voice. If you’re longing for something anchored in Christ but unsure where to start, she’s been in your shoes. If you’re a parent or church leader trying to understand a world that didn’t exist when you were growing up, she’s studied it and can help you see it clearly. Honest, grounded, and gracious… and still learning, right alongside you.
A Note on the Local Church
Kendra believes deeply in the local church. Athority Ministries exists to serve alongside it, never to replace it.
The resources here are meant to sharpen, encourage, and equip. But real growth happens in community, in a church where people know your name, pray for you, challenge you, and sit with you through the hard seasons.
If you don’t have a church home yet, that’s okay. Kendra’s hope is that you’ll find one. Not a perfect one (those don’t exist) but a faithful, Bible-teaching community where you can be formed alongside others who are figuring it out too.
Because clarity doesn’t just come from information. It’s shaped in the rhythms of worship, service, and life together. Athority Ministries can walk with you on the journey, but your local church is where God intends your faith to take root and grow.
