For a long time, I thought I had it all figured out. My faith, life, and how the world works. Stuck in a rigid, prideful mindset, I was convinced my way was the only way. But life (and grace) had other plans. Struggles came that cracked my certainty wide open and forced me to wrestle with questions I’d long avoided:

• Why do I seek the things I seek in life, love, and faith?
• What drives me toward certain spiritual experiences? What am I looking for (or trying to control?
• And most importantly, where do I find true peace and purpose?

Those questions led me down a path I never expected. I was drawn into a blend of New Age spirituality and contemporary spiritual movements that often mix Christian language with non-biblical practices (Progressive Christianity/New Age Christianity). What began as curiosity became years of immersion, tarot readings, Reiki, past life regression, energy work. At one point, under the name “Kareisma,” I had over 4,000 followers seeking my spiritual guidance.

But the deeper I went, the more my spirit felt convicted, and ironically, the more dependent I became on rituals, tools, and external affirmations.

What I thought was empowerment was actually entanglement.

Then came a pivotal moment of spiritual conversion. God confronted me with a hard truth, I wasn’t seeking Him, I was seeking control. That realization led me to publicly renounce every occult practice I had embraced and fully surrender to Christ. That surrender didn’t just change what I believed; it transformed how I understand spirituality, discernment, and the deep hunger driving all of us to seek answers.

What I Do Now

Today, I’m the voice behind Athority Ministries, a platform devoted to helping spiritual seekers, weary Christians, and confused believers navigate the overwhelming spiritual landscape with biblical clarity and discernment.

My mission is to equip you with practical insights and deep drives to help you reflect honestly on your spiritual motivations, break free from misleading beliefs, and build a faith that’s authentic, grounded, and free from reliance on fleeting trends or external gimmicks.

I believe true growth happens when we ask the tough questions:

• Why am I drawn to this?
• What am I really seeking?
• Does this align with my deepest values and biblical truth?

This isn’t about shaming curiosity or fear-mongering. It’s about helping you think critically and reflect honestly so you can pursue spiritual growth with wisdom, integrity, and a firm foundation in Scripture.

Before dedicating my life to spiritual discernment and apologetics, I spent years deeply involved in practices like Reiki, spiritual clearings, and channeling. I didn’t just dabble, I trained with a globally accredited provider certified by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) and genuinely believed I was helping people heal and grow spiritually.

I encountered many teachings that blended Christian language with New Age spirituality, which complicated my understanding and deepened my need for discernment. Often merging Christianity with New Age Spirituality. 

Because I’ve been on the inside, I understand the allure, promises, and hidden spiritual dangers that often go unnoticed. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others discern truth from deception. Today, I bring both lived experience and rigorous theological training to the table so you get the full picture, from someone who’s truly been there.

To guide you with both compassion and depth, I offer:

• Firsthand Experience: Walking the Progressive Christianity/New Age Christianity path myself, I know its promises, pitfalls, and addictive allure from the inside out.
• Theological Training: I’m currently pursuing master-level theological studies through Thirdmill Seminary and Logos Mobile Education, learning from leading pastors, academics, and scholars in biblical studies, church history, and systematic theology.
• Extensive Research Library: I work from a personal collection of over 7,000 seminary-grade resources, including peer-reviewed journals, historical commentaries, and systematic theologies, to make sure every resource I produce is biblically sound, historically accurate, and spiritually trustworthy.
• A Personal Commitment to Discernment: This is not just theory, I actively discern my own spiritual walk daily, grounded in prayer, Scripture, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
